About Fairmont

Fairmont takes its name from The Fairmont San Francisco, which opened in 1907. In 1999 Canadian Pacific Hotels bought a majority stake in Fairmont and in 2001 took the Fairmont name for the whole company, bringing in its grand Canadian hotels. Fairmont joined Accor with the FRHI purchase in 2015.

What to expect

Large, grand luxury hotels and resorts, many of them historic landmarks, such as Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge in the Canadian Rockies. Fairmont has managed The Plaza in New York since 1995. In India the brand opened its first hotel, Fairmont Jaipur, in 2012.
