About Radisson
The first Radisson opened on 15 December 1909 in Minneapolis and was named after the 17th-century French explorer Pierre-Esprit Radisson. Carlson bought it in 1962 and grew it into a chain. More than 220 hotels carry the core Radisson name. In 2022 Choice Hotels bought Radisson’s business in the Americas.
